I qualified in Medicine (MBBS) in 1992 and completed my masters in ophthalmology (MS) in 1995. I then underwent higher surgical training in London and the All-Wales training programme. I have been on the specialist register of the General Medical Council since 2004.
I joined as a consultant ophthalmologist at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust in 2004. I held various lead roles at the trust, including as clinical lead for cataract services at the Cannock eye centre.
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth). I am an examiner and a microsurgical skills trainer at the college. I have also been involved in teaching the next generation of cataract surgeons, and I also teach surgeons how to manage complications of cataract surgery.
I set up my own bespoke practice to provide a dedicated high quality personalised service to those patients who want to explore all their options when it comes to cataract and refractive lens surgery.
With over 25 years of experience in providing affordable eye care and treatments and employing the latest diagnostics and surgical technologies, you can expect a bespoke service customised to your needs.
When I am not seeing patients, I spend my time with family, walking, hiking or cycling.
